Summary |
NaviFUS’ core technologies include the development of a Neuronavigation-Guided Focused Ultrasound (FUS) System for brain diseases. This innovative technology can temporarily open the blood-brain barrier (BBB) or regulate overactive neurons through neuromodulation, making it a promising treatment option for a range of neurological disorders. Multiple models are in development, including preclinical research, clinical research, and mobile cart models. |

Scientific Breakthrough |
NaviFUS® System is an innovative technology platform that can provide personalized treatment for brain disorders such as glioblastoma and epilepsy. It achieves this by temporarily opening the BBB non-invasively, safely increasing the probability of drug penetration into the brain; it can also non-invasively alleviate seizures in epilepsy patients. The NaviFUS® System utilizes neuronavigation guidance, allowing it to be an outpatient procedure that can reduce costs and minimize treatment time. |
Industrial Applicability |
NaviFUS has run clinical trials at local hospitals in Taiwan like Linkou CGMH and Taipei VGH, and it is working on opening clinical trials at NTU Hospital. NaviFUS also has working partnerships with Taiwanese companies and is always seeking opportunities to improve its products and treatment portfolio. Through its partnerships, NaviFUS seeks to drive innovation in Taiwan’s medtech industry and contribute new clinical solutions to serve patients with neurological disorders in the local community. |
