Summary
Fish by-products from manufacturing process are embodied rich nutrition but usually used as miscellaneous materials in terms of feeding food for animals, or sold by lower prices. Fish bone/scale is full of calcium nutrition needed for all age layers. This invention aims at the powdered fish bone/scale by designing the series of manufacturing processes in which devices related to bone and meat separation, and in subsequence of utilization on fish by-products. The invention considered in the powdered systems is control of warming and constant temperatures, boosting and constant pressures, time, and recording functions. The experimental results indicate that the nutrition factors of calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, zinc, and selenium contained in aquaculture fish powdered bone/scales are significant and heavy metal factors are not detected. The ratio of calcium is around 25%-30% which can be used as the natural calcium materials, and enhance the aquaculture industry as well.
Scientific Breakthrough
In association of the particle theory with pressure, temperature, time duration, and their interaction, an invention to powder fish by-products of bone/scale is devised. There two invention patents are achieved. The invented device is divided into 6 modules in terms of warm up, constant temperature, pressure up, constant pressure, time duration, and control units.The invention contains five phases. Phase I is the classification and cleaning processes for manufacturing objects. Phase II sets the operational stages and Phase III is the operation of powdered process. Phase VI and V integrates relevant techniques and data analysis.The breakthrough of this invention is on the design of pressure chamber in which a closed crucible is designed to powder the materials under certain parameters.
Industrial Applicability
The purposes of this invention are to solve fish by-products in terms of discarded bone/scales and to provide calcium and nourishments sources by using hydrolyzed procedures. A set of powdered machining equipment is developed and the implementation of the invention in whole can be used to increase the value for aquaculture supply chain and enhance the aquaculture industry competitive advantage as well. The experimental results indicate that the nutrition factors of calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, zinc, and selenium are full in fish by-products of bone/scales. The potential of those nourishments in food additives and application of various health foods is expectedly substantial.
