An integrated solar photovoltaic-driven electrochemical water treatment technology have been developed with many advantages such as high energy independence, versatilityportability. The technology consists of photovoltaic systemelectrocatalytic/electrosorption processes, regarded as an innovative, energy-efficient water treatment system to remove organic pollutantscharged ions.

Energy-saving glass is realized using nano-imprinting to fabricate a periodic nano-structures. The glass can suppress the transmission of ultraviolet light such that people are not harmed. The transmission of infrared is largely reduced to lower air-conditioning. On the other hand, transmission is not deteriorated in the visible range to prevent the increment of illumination cost.

This product-oriented technology is to utilize water chestnut husk as a starting precursor in the production of activated carbon using physical activation process.The resulting activated carbon is characteristic of its high microporosity, high BET surface areatotal pore volume, which is superior to commercial activated carbon products.
