Current mainstream pharmacotherapy of glaucoma is the delivery of intraocular pressure-lowering medication via topical instillation. But, this dosage form has practical limitations due to well-known ocular barriers to drug transport. For the first time, highly efficient compound eye drop formulation is designed based on the idea of innovative glutathione-functionalized gelling materials. Our biomaterials-based ophthalmic drops can better improve drug bioavailabilityantiglaucoma efficacy than currently marketed eye drops, thereby showing future clinical translational potential.

We develop a vulnerability detection module to identify three important security vulnerabilities in the IMS system that supports 4G/5G multimedia services. We have validated them in 4 carriers from TaiwanU.S. using smartphones from 7 brands,shown that they can be exploited to launch a stealthy call DoS attack, a social engineering attack with ghost calls,a call ID spoofing attack. Moreover, attackers can detect attackable users using an AI technique with only the users＇ phone numbers. We finally propose solutionsdevelop an AI-based technique of call ID spoofing detection.

We have synthesized the LiYF4:Ce3+ nanoparticles – Methotrexate (MTX), targeting pancreatic cancer cells via folate receptors. Under ultralow 0.1 Gy X-ray irradiation (the lowest dose in the world, for 2-3 times), the nanoparticles can exhibit radiosensitization effect,radiosensitizing chemotherapy, because of MTX released by X-ray inducing photocleavage of NPA linker. The dual sensitization effect will enhance ROS production, DNA damage, cell cycle S phase arrest in pancreatic cancer cells. We have also demonstrated the excellent efficacy in AsPC-1PANC-1 xenografted pancreatic mice.
