By this technique, the oscillator product using this invent can output the frequency of clock signal flexibly from 1MHz to 200MHz through a programmer setting. This invent is the first low-cost oscillator control chip in the world that can set the frequency of output clock signal. In addition, this invent developed the smallest package 20x16 mm2 oscillator for next-generation consumer electronics in the world.

      A highly sensitivelinear ultrasonic radar was realized using digital self-injection-locking (SIL) technique. It can remotely monitor the vital signs of a human in motion, which will be demonstrated in this expo by upgrading a low-cost ultrasonic radar for reverse parking to support high-value telemedical applications. In the future it will further combine phased-array technology to implement non-contact 4D ultrasound system, which will bring disruptive innovation to medical technologies.

      In the context of FinTech, we present Financial Graph Attention Networks (FinGAT) to recommend high-profitable stocks in terms of return ratio using time series of stock pricessector info. Our FinGAT can learn the long-short-term price tendency,model the latent interactionsinfluence between stockssectors without any hand-crafted effort. Experiments conducted on Taiwan Stock, S&P 500,NASDAQ stock markets exhibit remarkable accuracy of FinGAT, comparing to state-of-the-arts (by 11, 14,12 performance improvement). The tech is published in IEEE TKDE 2021.

      This project with aim of promoting digital optics education is funded by Ministry of Education. In the entry-level class, students are guided in the hand-on experiments to bring up the ability to set up optical pathsto learn the basic optics principles. In the advance-level class, students are encouraged to work on a 3D holographic project using the fast-response LCOS-SLM developed in Digital Optics Teaching Laboratory of NYCU.       This successful technology is the digital interventions on depression patients based on (1) heart rate variability bio-feedbacks (HRVBs) measured by a novel flexible sensor patch attached on patient’s wrist(2) an APP. An innovative flexible low-power PPG patch has been designed which is capable of providing weeks of high-quality PPG signals which are essential towards accurate estimation of HRV for favorable efficacy of designed digital interventions. Also, An AI model correlating the HRVsand PHQ-9/HDRS scores of depression patients will be built based on collected data.

      Concerning the uncertainty of assuming well-mixed aerosols within the planetary boundary layer, a sensible aerosol vertical distribution described by a log-normal fitting function is proposed to provide more realistic single-peak extinction profile with a decadal MPL in situ dataset. The performance of fitted single-peak aerosol profiles can reach up 0.8973 of correlation coefficient when considering the seasonal variations in PBLH and the surface layer height of well-mixed aerosols. Eventually, not only the aerosol extinction profile but also the 3-dimensional distribution are promising to be created from satellite AOD retrieval with PBLH information for providing accurate PM2.5 monitoring over a regional scale.
