This peculiar material is found to behave excellently as cathode in rechargeable organic batteries with more extended π-conjugationlarger number of redox-active sites, facilitating charge transportyielding extra-high capacity for lithium storage. Especially, a unique network of unconventional hydrogen bonds in the solid-state facilitates favorable 2D layered arrangement, enhancing cycling stability.
