Summary |
We apply diffuse reflectance spectroscopy method to accurately determine the skin properties of subjects. Our device has a very simple configurationthe detected reflectance is processed with an advanced, efficient machine learning algorithm to quantify the skin composition of subjects.

"本團隊開發出的光學非侵入式皮膚生理參數檢測裝置,透過核心演算法可即時檢測與監控皮膚生理參數,以便做出快速做出因應的醫療措施,降低新生兒與成人黃疸後續併發症的可能性,具有極高的醫學與市場價值。
當血液中紅血球老化會形成神經毒性物質「膽紅素」,若人體肝膽、胰臟等器官功能異常時,可能因代謝失調無法正常轉化,進而產生其他病變。成人肝病的典型表徵為『黃疸』,全球有3.5 億 B 肝帶原者,中國佔當中約9300萬人,且每年新發感染者達10萬之多。此外,病毒感染、飲酒過度、脂肪肝、肝毒性藥物也可能導致肝衰竭。成人膽紅素過高為身體疾病的警訊(正常值為0.2~1.2mg/dL),可能原因包括感染、藥物反應、膽道疾病、先天性遺傳疾病、溶血性疾病…等,皆是相當嚴重的健康問題,應儘速就醫,積極追查原因,加以治療。另外,新生兒剛出生的兩周內,由於肝功能不健全,導致體內膽紅素囤積,因此常出現黃疸現象,當沉積過多時,最嚴重甚至可能引發核黃疸,造成如智力損傷、發展遲緩、死亡等永久性傷害,亦是開發中國家新生兒死亡的主因之一。亞洲(全球)新生兒發生機率80(60),並可能引發核黃疸造成腦部病變或死亡。由以上論述可知,檢測體內膽紅素濃度,無論是在成人或是新生兒,都有可觀的需求。
受到遠距醫療和居家照護的議題興起,不管是生理檢測或生理監測的廠商,其研發策略紛紛朝向開發小型、輕量化穿戴式的居家用醫療器材為主,本團隊的核心技術也將規劃開發各類生理參數的小型化與穿戴式檢測裝置,包括檢測血氧濃度、水分、血紅素、黑色素、膠原蛋白等,若能順勢搭上此趨勢,未來發展可期。"
