科學突破性 | The most cost-effective application comes from linking CryoDesalination with a source of cold energy such as an Air Separation UnitLNG Regasification Unit (and in the future from Hydrogen Regasification Units). Combining such plants with CryoDesalination eliminates power costs for desalinationsignificantly simplifies the CryoDesalination Units. This enables CryoDesalination to desalinate water at 1/10th the cost of competing desalination processes. Additionally, when using cold energy CryoDesalination has zero carbon emissions. |

產業應用性 | We can partner with CPC to use the cold waste energy from their Taichung and Yung-an LNG Regasification Terminals to desalinate seawater produce 24.3 million tonnes annually of zero emission, low-cost fresh water that is much needed in Taiwan. Alternatively, CryoDesalination can partner with a water user (such as a municipal water systema semiconductor factory) to purchase cold waste energy from LNG Terminals to make zero emission, low-cost fresh water for its own use. |
