It can affect about 4.9-10% of general population, especially workers with long-term repetitive motion activities. There are about 10,000 people who need surgical treatment per year in Taiwan. This newly-designed device is developed for minimal invasive procedure to treat carpal tunnel syndrome. It can be applied by orthopaedic, neurological, and plastic surgeons. This device is able to combine with endoscopic system. This disposable and integrated device includes a minimal-invasive expander and knife to decrease the size of surgical wound and the cost of disinfection. Its ergonomic design enables fast and easy operation for surgeons.
