Technical Name |
LOWER SUPPORT TYPE REHABILITATION DEVICE FOR FINGERS |
Project Operator |
Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology |
Summary |
The exoskeleton assistive device has been designed primarily for hemiplegic stroke patients to aid in the extension of fingers to open up the palm to simulate the effects of rehabilitation. This exoskeleton was designed as an anterior-support type to achieve palmar extension, and acts as a robotic assistive device for rehabilitation in bilateral upper limb task training. |
Scientific Breakthrough |
本發明係有關於一種復健輔具,尤其係指一種從下方支撐手指的手指下托式復健輔具,輔助中風患者進行手指的張合動作,且搭配壓力感測器偵測患者手指壓力,避免手指過度拉伸而受傷。 |
Industrial Applicability |
The exoskeleton forearm was made with PLA material via 3D printing. The assistive device in this study has already worked with several hospitals for on-site testing and is in the process of improving the structural design using feedback from real-life testing. |
