Summary
The metal bipolar plates modified by this technology have characteristics such as good adhesion of plating layer, good conductivity, light weight, excellent mechanical properties, easy processing and thinning, and the like, and can significantly increase the specific energy and specific power of the battery pack. The process cost is low and it is suitable for mass production.
Scientific Breakthrough
A method for preparing a surface modification coating of metal bipolar plates is disclosed. The diffusion rate of the permeated powders (Cr) can be increased during the process of the powder diffusion, due to the activation layer, which has high defects concentration. Hence, it is possible to prepare a chromized coating under low temperature.
