The cooling time can be reduced significantly and the quality of the molded parts can be improved significantly. The cooling channels with any cross sectional shapes in the injection mold can be fabricated using rapid tooling and three-dimensional printing techniques. This invention has important industrial applications because injection molds with complex geometrical shapes cooling channels can be fabricated swiftly and effectively.
