      In order to replace humans so as to ensure safety in highly hazardous environments, such as COVID-19 testing sites, a dual-arm humanoid robot has been developed by our NTHU team. This humanoid robot with 7-axis robotic arm, vision system, IMUtouch sensors intelligence is able to imitate human actions intelligently. There are several technologies that were developed for this humanoid robot: robotic arm joints which correspond to human arm joints, a novel multiple-object tracking technology which can distinguish individual occluded objects,a real-time eye-hand calibration technology.

      Electronic & Optoelectronics FutureTech An 1.6Tb/s Silicon Photonics Chip

      This 1.6Tb/s silicon photonic chip adopts the semiconductor technology to integrated optical couplers, splitters, modulators, and 4x16 AWG optical multiplexer into a 5mm x 5mm area. Thanks to the support of Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and Taiwan Semiconductor Research Institute (TSRI), this novel 1.6Tb/s silicon photonics chip is designed at the end of 2018 and send to IMEC to produce. After getting the chip at the beginning of 2020, those separate devices of optical edge coupler, optical splitter, optical modulator, and 4x16 AWG optical multiplexer have been measured and verified. The overall chip performance has also been checked by injecting lasers and the light signal has been coupled by singlemode fiber to demonstrate the feasibility of this novel silicon photonics chip.

      Nanopharmaterial is a term by combining pharmaceuticalmaterial via nanotechnology. Here we demonstrate this concept by developing a novel nanopharmaterial, so called 177Lu-Gold nanostar (AuNS). 177Lu is a therapeutic radionuclide emitting moderate-energy beta particles as well as gamma rays for SPECT/CT-based imaging diagnosis. Nanostar can target tumors by enhanced permeability retention (EPR) effectsowns the photothermal therapeutic potent. The core technology is to integrate radionuclidenanomaterial to perform a new radio-nanopharmaterial for tumor target theranostic purpose.

      mmW 5G/B5G/6GLEO satellites use large active antenna arrays of more than 1000 elements. A number reduction aided by low cost intelligent panels is developed to reduce at least 60 cost. AiPAiM are used to compact the array with reconfigurability at low power losses. The gains are compensated by phase-reconfigurable AiP/AiM to feed smart multi-beam panels of large apertures. It may steer directional beams by operating the active RF modules tightly fed by AiP/AiM based arrays. Tile architecture can be implemented using multiple AiPs/AiMs for flexible array configurations.
