Summary | The operational safety and cost are superior to the traditional space propulsion systems by utilizing nontoxic high-test peroxide (HTP) as the propellant. All components are developed and verified by TASA. A total solution for satellite applications with design flexibility can be provided to satisfy the versatility of mission requirements. |
Scientific Breakthrough | The compatibility of the wet surface on the material to high test peroxide is the priority of the R&D of the green propulsion system. The storage life is a baseline of the mission life of the spacecraft and can be extended to 3 year at least due to the high compatibility of the materials utilized in the tank and pipeline. |
Industrial Applicability | High test peroxide can be used as the monopropellant and the oxidizer of the bi-propellant propulsion system, therefore, the compatibility issue of the material is a key to meet the requirement of the versatility of the mission. The application of aerospace can be a satellite reaction control system, anti-collision system of the satellite, apogee kick motor and landing system for moon or planet. In addition, the same technology can be also applied to the underwater propulsion system. |
