Summary
Our microfluidic chip utilizes thermotaxisupstream swimming behavior to sort sperm efficiently. By creating a temperature gradient, thermosensitive sperm swim upstreamcan be collected effectively. The chip successfully sorts high-quality sperm, meeting WHO standards. It simplifies processing, reduces sorting time, minimizes damage,improves sperm quality. Suitable for azoospermia, oligozoospermia,asthenozoospermia in IVFICSI procedures.

(1) Our chip enhances the recovery rate by utilizing sperm thermotaxis.(2) Our device significantly increases the motility of sorted sperm to over 90.(3) This device is suitable for sorting sperm in other mammalian species.(4) Our system can recover millions of sperm(5) This system can exclude sperm with abnormal morphology effectively.
Industrial Applicability
The chip developed by our team can increase the progressive motility of sorted sperm to approximately 90, which is significantly higher compared to the traditional upstreamcentrifugation methods at 5030 respectively. The number of sorted sperm reaches the million-level, making them suitable for use in assisted reproduction techniques.
