Summary
By combining Josephson junction array, capacitors,single Josephson junction, a new type of superconducting qubits, including FluxoniumBlochnium. We built the full ability of superconducting qubits parameters design, fabrication,measurements. We successfully designed, fabricated,measured Fluxonium superconducting qubits in Taiwanstarting to explore the application of these new types of superconducting qubits in quantum information.
Scientific Breakthrough
New generation of superconducting qubits contained high efficient super-inductors. Such new types of qubits are insensitive to charge noiseinsensitive to flux noise at certain magnetic flux values. Also, with low transition frequencies, the decay rates is reduced due to lower dielectric loss. Therefore, such new type of superconducting qubits have more degrees of freedomhigher coherence comparing to Transmon qubits.
Industrial Applicability
Our full ability of design, fabrication,measurement of new generation of superconducting qubits can provide highly efficient superconducting qubits for quantum hardware in newly developed quantum information industry. Such new superconducting qubits is beneficial of developing universal quantum computer, quantum simulation, quantum communication,quantum sensing. The whole process can be performed in Taiwan, which will stimulate the development of quantum information industry in Taiwan.
