Summary
Currently, unmet clinical needs of nonsurgical high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) fat reduction are a long time to see the fat reduction after HIFU lipolysis, long treatment time,low treatment efficacy. The porcine study has corroborated that the ultrasonic fast-shaping system can generate a strip-shape focal zone to form a line-shape hot spot, shortening treatment timeincreasing the amounts of lysed adipocytes,combine with the passive exercise to accelerate metabolism of the free lipids from necrotic adipocytes, improving the reduction in the waist circumferences.

Present HIFU lipolysis treatment requires time for the immune system to digest the free lipids from necrotic adipocytes. The combined therapy of HIFU lipolysis plus muscular electrical stimulation we developed can save more time than the present modality (time to see outcome is 2 weeks vs. 12 weeks). Additionally, the ultrasonic fast-shaping system can produce an ultrasonic strip-shape focal zone with the dimensions of 60 x 3.6 x 0.7 mmform the lesion in the fat layer after 3-s sonication, resulting in that the rate of lysing fat is the 100-fold rate of the current technique.
