Summary
The Augmented patch system for rotator cuff surgery is used in situations where soft tissue is detached from the tissue, such as tendon rupture. Through this system, arthroscopic minimally invasive surgery can greatly shorten the operation timeimprove the efficiency of the operation. Large goat animal experiments have been plannedexecuted together with NAR Labs Animal Center. Compared with the traditional surgical method, the recovery strength of the sheep's tendon using the thin Augmented patch system has increased by 72, which is a significant improvement
Scientific Breakthrough
The augmented patch includes a patch bodya button. The patch body has an inner space. The button is disposed in the inner space of the patch body. Using this technology, the torn tendon could be repaired more secured. Take rotator cuff repair surgery for example, While minimal invasive surgery has become moremore popular, it is difficulttime consuming dealing with those sutures under arthroscope. With this invention, at least 30 surgery time is reduced,72 stronger tendon healing is observed from goat animal study.
Industrial Applicability
Augmented Patch has completed large animal studyhas promising results for FDA approval. Relative patent protection has also been completed. The market coverage of this technology is not only suitable for rotator cuffs, but also for repairing detached soft tissues from hard tissues. Strategically, we will form an alliance with manufacturersdistributors to step into the international market. Meanwhile, exposure of this technology worldwide is expected to attract early investmentM&A by international medical companies.
