Summary | A novel balanced BPF using the half-mode substrate integrated waveguide has a central frequency of 5.22 GHz with 0.91 GHz BW and the in-band insertion loss of 2.1 dB. The size of an HMSIW is about half of the substrate integrated waveguide (SIW). The common-mode rejection levels are greater than 40 dB with in-band insertion losses around 2 dB. |

It also has the advantages of wide BW, wide stopband, dual bands, and good signal selectivity. It can be used as a RF front-end filter component of a wireless communication system, such as wifi and WLAN systems, and cellar phone base station. |
