Technical Name Enhancing protein-antigen reaction reagents
Project Operator Chang Gung University
Summary
The use of this technology to develop a new generation of powerful immune-enhanced reagents, making it easier to apply to Western blotting and its derivative detection technology. This technology assists in the development of two or three reagents suitable for other Western blotting techniques. Simplify the experimental steps of the western blotting method, save time, reduce the amount of antibody used, and improve the sensitivity of antibody detection. This technology will speed the development of protein detection related reagents to improve the visibility of Taiwan's biotechnology product development.
Scientific Breakthrough
Western blotting is the foundation technology for the modern life science research field, but the traditional ways of operation is limited by the non-specific combination between the transferred membrane and the antibodies leading to affect the results of targeted protein signals. Since two years ago, our laboratory has developed several reagents that can be used in Western blotting, which have the advantages of effectively reducing background, increasing targeted protein signal strength, and significantly reducing experimental time. The immuno-enhanced solution prepared using nanoparticles instead of traditional skim milk or bovine serum albumin has been tested by several biotechnology companies and used as a diluent solvent for the incubation of primary and secondary antibodies simultaneously. Not only can the traditional blocking step be omitted, but at the same time facilitating primary antibody recognizes the antigen, actions such as noise reduction and antibody identification are performed. This technology will continue to develop a new generation of potent immuno-enhanced reagents, providing a faster way for researchers to obtain better Western blotting results. By using this technology, we provide these reagents with three major advantages over the traditional Western blotting method: One is to shorten the lengthy process, the second is to save the use of expensive antibodies. Finally, enhance the experimental results and reduce background. In addition, further research and development of powdered products that are easy to preserve and are not easily degraded, that is, the three major characteristics of rush-and-use. In addition, for the extension of western blotting methods, such as immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence assay (IFA), the implementation content of the program will also develop relevant reagents to meet the needs of customers. The multiple commodities reduce market risk in response to market demand.
