Laser speckle positioning technology is a total laser recognition and positioning technology developed by National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology(NCSIST) . It reflects the surface texture of objects through lasers , and records these surface texture patterns as image database . As long as they are within the identification area , they can be accurately positioned .
Scientific Breakthrough
The laser speckle location technology is the world’s first precision positioning technology independently developed by National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology(NCSIST).The linear positioning accuracy is nanometer-scale, and the angular positioning accuracy is arc-seconds. It is an absolute positioning method that uses the coherence characteristics of laser light to surface the object. The unique texture is clearly resolved ,and the laser locator is installed on any processing machine table , which can greatly improve the positioning accuracy of the machine itself ,and due to the characteristics of the surface texture ,the thermal expansion effect of the processing device itself with the temperature can also be instantly calculate the amount of thermal expansion of the machine table from the change of surface texture ,make immediate compensation and correction ,calculate the thermal expansion of the machine table by the change of texture ,and perform immediate compensation and correction to achieve high-precision positioning performance .This is also the world’s first initiative ,Unique surface thermal expansion precision observer. This ultra-precise absolute positioning method can be applied to positioning technology such as multi-axis machines ,robot arms ,concentricity correction , and nanometer process . In addition to being an absolute positioning device , the present technology can also be applied to a relative positioning device . Currently , a high-sensitivity laser speckle mouse is developed .Through the captured speckle image , the moving speckle identification is made sensitive .
