This invention utilizes base station positioning by means of spread spectrum communication technology and its rake receiver, which receives multiple paths signals from different terrains. Simulated distance is calculated from multiple signal delay and compared with a digital map. Location of the receiver is positioned at where the signal paths cross. In this invention, a base station is equipped with three transmitters which send separated 120 degrees spread spectrum signals, and support with the communication protocol that transmits their bearing angle information, thus achieves two-point positioning. |
