People get trapped easily under the collapsing buildings in the aftermath of the earthquakes. In order to save more lives, we developed the Audio and Video Wireless Life Detector to help rescue workers search survivors in disaster areas more efficiently. The equipment adopts a CCD camera with interchangeably thermal camera which enable the equipment to output CCD or thermal images immediately. It is able to carry out search and rescue missions under all weather conditions. Moreover, a microphone and speaker module are integrated into camera module, allowing rescue workers to communicate and locate a trapped victim in search and rescue missions. The material of telescoping pole is carbon fiber. Weight reduction is conducive to searching more conveniently. The maxima length of the pole is up to 3 meters, which broadens searching areas. System control module can adjust camera’s swing angle, illumination of LED light, and the volume of the microphone and speaker module according to rescue situation. The image signal can be transmitted wirelessly to the relay monitor. It is beneficial to rescuing in confined space. Real-time images can be displayed on the monitor in a command center, providing commander to take control of rescue. |
