Mortar Rectification Instrument has two components, laser designator and board. Laser designator represents the axis of the mortar. Board is able to rectify the error from the mortar to sight. The first step is to install the laser designator into the mortar and level the bubble of the laser designator. When the bubble is leveled, the laser represents the mortar’s axis. After that, locate the board about 5 meters away at the front of the mortar and turn on the LED light. Aligning the reticle with LED light, to rectify the parallel error between the mortar and sight. Since the distance between the mortar and sight varies with the type of mortar , there are 4 different boards in order to rectify different mortars. Mortar Rectification Instrument adopts different method to align the mortar and sight. The alignment can be achieved with fewer workers and is not constrained by weather and terrain, and what is more, it can improve the first-shot accuracy.
