This invention elucidates that the direction of immobilized proteins (antibodies) on a chip can be re-oriented by an external electric field (EEF) leading to the change of protein-protein interaction. Efficiency optimization of protein (EOP) for the most effective binding with its antigen can accordingly be obtained. We proved that the cost of CEA (carcinoembryonic antigen) antibody (primary antibody) under EOP when reacts with its secondary antibody having fluorescent agent is almost less than half of the one having no EOP. In other words, saving $ billions from global market can be achieved when this technique is applied.
