Summary
Bike plays an important part of promoting environmental protection and energy saving nowadays and in the future. This technique combines physical bike with IoT and virtual reality (VR) technologies to provide users relaxed and delightful cycling experience everywhere around the world without being bounded by both time and space. There are two themes in this exhibition:
(A)Cycling parameters recording, playback and sharing:
With advanced ICT technology, we attached sensors and micro-computers to the bike to record parameters like GPS location, slope, wind speed, temperature, humidity and bike speed, force applied to the paddle and sequential panoramic images during a cycling in a particular field. We also use 360 VR camera mounted on the bike to record the view during the cycling. These sensor and image data are then upload to a shared platform. Our cloud service will then analyze and synchronize these data for later playback. With the aid of the dynamic bike support platform and VR head mounted display or cardboard, global users can enjoy the cycling experience and excellent view all over the world without going outdoors.
(B)Dynamic bike support platform:
A bike support platform with electric linear actuator can change the posture of the bike dynamically according to the recorded data. User can feel the change of the slope and tilt level when sitting on the bike fixed on the stand. Additionally, there are damper and motor installed on the platform to give a drag or thrust according to the slope of the ground. In additional to the physical feedbacks, the VR display can offer the bikers immersive visual experience as if they are enjoying the riding like in real world.

騎乘資訊記錄及分享:控制器能完整蒐集並記錄騎乘時的各項參數並可透過全景影像及騎乘參數共享平台分享騎乘體驗。
動感駐車架:可動態改變腳踏車的姿態,當使用者騎乘在上面時能回放坡度、過彎傾斜以及上下坡施力等變化。

在環保與健身的議題引領之下,全球自行車產業如日中天,民眾注重養身及休閒娛樂品質的當下,提供民眾無須出門便能享受全球旅遊的樂趣,又能兼顧運動及健身的休閒活動方式,將會帶動腳踏車運動愛好者建立全球著名騎乘路線的資料庫,另闢需求量龐大的運動休閒產業,是一塊尚未開發的藍海市場。
