Summary |
The scanning image measurement for foot pressure distribution invented by Prof.Chong-Ching Chang of National University of Tainan is integrated with optical 3D measurement technology applied in depth sensors from the Metal Industries Research & Development Centre (MIRDC), and thus can measure foot shape and pressure simultaneously. With electronic mechanical integration and trials, a multiple plantar pressure measurement equipment (for foot shape and foot pressure) is built to help traditional footwear companies customize functional shoes with foot arch support, in the hope of keeping up with the accelerating demands form manufacturers. Optical 3D measurement technology: analyzing foot depth image with 3D optical lens and applying graphics and thematics to calculate the foot size. The scanning image measurement for foot pressure distribution: converting all color depth into binary data, which provides fast, convenient and precise way to measure foot pressure and distribution, as well as to acquire the foot shape. |
