Summary |
A method for producing α-glucosidase inhibitors utilizing Paenibacillus sp.. The strain was numbered No. BCRC 910751 to produce the α-glucosidase inhibitors. Strain is cultivated in a commercial culture medium or a shrimp/crab residue-contained culture medium, and the α-glucosidase inhibitors is separated from a fermented supernatant. The α-glucosidase inhibitors have strong inhibitory activity. |
Scientific Breakthrough |
The present α-glucosidase inhibitor produced by the strain has been proven that it does not have side effects , and also has an efficacy of inhibiting α-glucosidase activity. Furthermore, the present α-glucosidase inhibitor has anti acid and alkali performance, and a combination of the present α-glucosidase inhibitor and a commercial α-glucosidase inhibitor creates superior efficacy. |
