Summary | Image sensor-based non-contact physiological signal and physical activity measurement technology is a new measurement method. Users can measure his information such as pulse rate and step without wearing any sensor on the body. It has the advantages of high comfort, high convenience and long-term monitoring. It is suitable for use in baby care, driving physiological monitoring, exercise monitoring (equipment) and patients who need long-term monitoring. |

Scientific Breakthrough | Contactless exercise monitoring makes people feel more comfortable and unconstrained. However, the decrease in accuracy of the pulse rate measurement caused by large motion artifacts. We proposed a novel approach to monitor step count and improve the accuracy of pulse rate. Relevant research results were published in the top 5% of IEEE Transactions on Multimedia (TMM) journals and received US invention patents. |

Industrial Applicability | Based on the camera's contactless measurement technology, we implement the algorithm into a software SDK for various platforms (mobile phones, tablets, IP cameras..), applicable fields such as health care, exercise monitoring, long-term monitoring, and Baby Monitor, driving monitoring, emotions, lie detection, security control, etc., are quite versatile. |
