The demand of smart meters goes up rapidly, due to the increasingly number of smart grid deployments. However, meter readings may expose individualfamily privacy (e.g., through NILM). Therefore, meter readings need to be encrypted before sent to the power company. IEC 62056 DLMS/COSEM is an application layer standard, which defines the cryptographic components used in metering data protection
